Io, the innermost of Jupiter’s Galilean moons, hosts the high-tech, hard-labour mining colony Con-Am 27, a titanium ore mining operation established by the mega-corporation Conglomerates Amalgamated. There, Federal Marshal W. T. O’Niel (Sean Connery) investigates a spate of mysterious and often violent deaths among miners. With Dr Marian Lazarus his only ally, O’Niel slowly unearths the truth but finds himself fighting an increasingly isolated and dangerous battle against corporate and criminal greed…
