In a future where death from illness is almost unheard of, Katherine Mortenhoe’s (Romy Schneider) diagnosis with an incurable disease makes her an instant and unwitting celebrity, and TV boss Vincent Ferriman (Harry Dean Stanton) wants to build a reality TV show around her final days. But when she refuses to be filmed, he cajoles cameraman Roddy (Harvey Keitel) into having cameras surgically implanted in his eyes. Roddy is then tasked with filming Katherine without her knowledge, with everything he sees then featuring on Ferriman’s new reality TV show ‘Death Watch’…
