On the distant planet of Ygam, human-like Oms are kept as the domesticated and illiterate playthings of native blue-skinned giants called Draags. The hierarchy is challenged though when Terr, an Om kept as a pet all his life, becomes educated thanks to his child captor’s very own learning device, and manages to escape enslavement. Finding a group of like-minded Oms resisting Draag oppression, he begins to organise a rebellion…
